Open CS2 Souvenir Packages for Free
Open every CS2 and CSGO souvenir package in our free souvenir simulator. Souvenir packages are special containers dropped during Counter-Strike Major Championship matches. Each package contains match-specific weapon skins with gold tournament stickers. Classic souvenirs (from Cologne 2015 through PGL Stockholm 2021) feature four gold stickers: two team logos, the tournament logo, and the round MVP's autograph. Modern souvenirs since then carry the two team logos, tournament logo, and map logo instead. From the very first DreamHack Winter 2013 souvenirs to the latest Major, every souvenir package is here to open for free with authentic drop rates.
CS2 Souvenir Packages — Complete History
Souvenir packages were first introduced at DreamHack Winter 2013, the inaugural CS:GO Major Championship. Originally dropped for viewers watching matches on GOTV or Twitch with a linked Steam account, each package is tied to a specific match and map. Over 20 Major tournaments have produced souvenir packages, totaling 170+ unique souvenir collections.
Unlike weapon cases, souvenir packages do NOT require a key — they open for free in-game. Souvenir skins feature gold tournament stickers. From Cologne 2015 through PGL Stockholm 2021, this included the round MVP's autograph. Since then, Valve replaced the MVP autograph with a map logo sticker. Early souvenirs from DreamHack 2013 and Katowice 2014 also lacked MVP autographs. Souvenir skins cannot be StatTrak but are highly valued by collectors for their rarity and tournament significance.
Starting with IEM Katowice 2019, Valve replaced the free random viewer drop system with the Viewer Pass and Souvenir Tokens. Viewers purchase a Viewer Pass and earn tokens by watching matches, then redeem each token for a specific souvenir package of their choosing. This gave fans control over which map's collection they receive — a major shift from the old luck-based system.
Souvenir packages use a 6-tier rarity system (Consumer Grade through Covert) rather than the 5-tier system used in weapon cases. The average ROI on souvenir packages tends to be lower than weapon cases due to the extra tier diluting high-value drops. The most valuable souvenir skins come from iconic matches at legendary Majors — a Souvenir AWP Dragon Lore from a classic final can be worth thousands of dollars.
How Souvenir Packages Work
Browse souvenir packages from every CS:GO and CS2 Major Championship — from DreamHack 2013 to the most recent tournament.
Each souvenir uses authentic 6-tier drop rates. Consumer, Industrial, Mil-Spec, Restricted, Classified, and Covert — all accurately weighted.
Track which Major souvenirs you've opened and compare drop results. See real market prices for every souvenir skin you unbox.
Tips & Information
- Souvenir packages do NOT require a key — they open for free in-game (and in our simulator).
- Souvenir sticker layout varies by era: classic souvenirs (Cologne 2015–Stockholm 2021) have 4 gold stickers including the MVP autograph. Modern souvenirs replace the MVP autograph with a map logo. The earliest souvenirs (DreamHack 2013, Katowice 2014) also lack MVP autographs.
- Souvenir skins cannot have StatTrak technology — they are always non-StatTrak.
- Souvenir packages are map-specific: a Dust II souvenir only contains skins from the Dust II collection.
- The most expensive souvenir skins include the Souvenir AWP Dragon Lore (Cobblestone) and Souvenir M4A1-S Knight (Cobblestone).
- Older Major souvenirs from 2013–2015 are extremely rare and collector-priced on the Steam Market.
Trivia & Fun Facts
- The very first souvenir packages from DreamHack Winter 2013 had randomized sticker positions — later Majors standardized sticker placement to specific weapon positions.
- Cobblestone souvenir packages are the most sought-after because they can contain the AWP Dragon Lore — one of the most iconic and expensive skins in CS history.
- Before the Viewer Pass system (pre-2019), souvenir drops were completely random — you had to watch GOTV and hope the system picked you.
- Gold stickers on souvenir skins can technically be scraped or removed in-game, just like regular stickers — but doing so permanently destroys the skin's souvenir identity and collector value. There is no way to undo it.
- Once a Major tournament ends, no additional souvenir packages are ever produced for those matches, creating a permanently fixed supply.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are CS2 souvenir packages?
Souvenir packages are special containers dropped during CS:GO and CS2 Major Championship matches. They contain unique weapon skins with gold tournament stickers — featuring team logos and the tournament logo. Classic era souvenirs (Cologne 2015–Stockholm 2021) also include the round MVP's autograph, while modern souvenirs feature a map logo instead. Unlike weapon cases, souvenir packages do not require a key to open.
How do I get souvenir packages?
In-game, souvenir packages were historically dropped randomly to viewers watching Major matches on GOTV or Twitch with a linked Steam account. More recently, they can be purchased through the Viewer Pass system during Major events. You can also buy them on the Steam Community Market — or open them all for free in our simulator.
Why are souvenir packages expensive?
Souvenir packages have limited supply — they're only created during specific Major tournament matches. Once a Major ends, no more packages from those matches are produced. Older Major souvenirs from 2013–2015 can sell for hundreds or even thousands of dollars due to their extreme scarcity. The actual skins inside can be worth even more if they come from iconic matches.
What makes souvenir skins special?
Souvenir skins are unique because they carry gold tournament stickers that tell a story — which teams played and which tournament. Classic-era souvenirs also name the round MVP. The stickers can technically be scraped or removed, but doing so permanently destroys the skin's souvenir identity and value — so collectors treat them as untouchable. They cannot be StatTrak, making them distinct collectibles within CS2's economy.
What is the most expensive souvenir skin?
The Souvenir AWP Dragon Lore (from Cobblestone souvenir packages) is consistently among the most expensive CS2 skins of any type. Factory New versions with desirable MVP sticker placements from iconic Major finals can be worth tens of thousands of dollars. Other highly valued souvenirs include the Souvenir M4A1-S Knight and Souvenir M4A4 Radiation Hazard.
Do souvenir packages have the same odds as weapon cases?
No. Souvenir packages use a 6-tier rarity system instead of the 5-tier system in weapon cases, and they do not have a knife/glove tier. The extra tier (Consumer Grade) means more common drops and generally lower average ROI compared to weapon cases. Our simulator accurately models these different probabilities.
